The 2007 Conference of the Association for Mormon Letters (AML) will be held this Saturday, April 7, at the UVSC Computer Science Building in Orem, Utah.

Plenary Session: “Making Connections, Growing the Field” by Rick Walton

Choice of sessions: Fostering Artistically Informed Criticisms and Critically Informed Art, Women and Literature, Illustration and the Book, Readings of Creative Works by Mormon Writers.
12:00-2:00 pm
Lunch (fee required)
Business Meeting, Awards, Presidential Address
2:00-3:30 pm
Choice of Sessions: Mormon Film, a History and Discussion; Ethics in Literature; Surveying Children’s Literature; Writing Mormon Culture
3:40-5:00 pm
Choice of Sessions: Clips/Filmscreenings from the Mormon Film Festival, Mormon Literature, Mormon Rhetoric, Readings of Creative Works by Student Writers
6:00 pm
Reception at the Charlotte and Eugene England home: food, and readings by AML award-winning writers
All sessions, including the reception, are free and open to the public.

Can we just show up anytime during the day? Or do we have to register in the morning? Because morning is prime Easter Basket time.

I asked Darlene and she said that since it’s free, skipping registration shouldn’t be a problem.
