Mother in Me on Whitney Awards Auction

Posted by Emily M. | November 26, 2008 | 6 Comments

As a benefit for the Whitney Awards, Segullah has donated an autographed copy of The Mother in Me to be auctioned off on Ebay. I linked to it on our sidebar last week, and *sniff* no one has bid on it.

Now I commence shameless begging: folks, at least one person should bid on it! Please? Starting bid is $18, which is below retail value, and I will ship it to you for free. It’s autographed by our brilliant editor Kathryn Lynard Soper, as well as authors Justine Dorton, Sharlee Mullins Glenn, Melonie Cannon, Brooke Benton, Darlene Young, Emily Milner, and Kylie Turley. If you live out of state and were not able to attend our book signing party, this would be a great opportunity to get yourself an autographed copy.

The Whitney Awards are a noble cause, an awards program for LDS fiction. I’ve been impressed by the way that all LDS authors are eligible, both those published by local publishers (Deseret Book, Covenant), as well as books published nationally. Because they place nationally published books in the same category as locally published ones, the Whitneys help elevate the level of local writing.

You can check out their other items up for auction here.

Great book, great cause.

Why isn’t it open to people not in the States? =-(

If it was, I’d bid on it for sure, AND pay the shipping…!

Kel, I’m sorry! I don’t know why, since I’m not running it. But you can also purchase it online at Amazon.com–do they ship internationally? If they don’t, contact me (emilymilner at byu dot net) and I could ship it to you.

    G’day Emily =)

Yep, Amazon ship internationally – I’ve added Mother to my wishlist on Amazon, and am just waiting to have enough for a “proper” order.

Thanks for your offer – I REALLY appreciate it!!!!!!

Kel, can I tell you how cool it makes me feel that Segullah has readers in Australia? Wow. So glad you’re with us (and I hope you enjoy the book!).
