Editorial Spotlight

I WRITE TO HONOR FEISTY MARRIAGES. “Honor” might be a bit strong, but let us get it straight from the beginning: a zesty relationship is the highlight of my life. I understand that not everyone feels the same, . . .

Nie Nie Auction

28 August 2008 @ 00:59 | Announcements | 9 Comments

Inspired (as usual) by DesignMom , we’re hosting an auction to benefit Stephanie and Christian Nielson who were seriously injured in a plane crash a couple of weeks ago. Maybe you know NieNie from her fantastic blog? Or Cjane (her sis) from her writing here at Blog Segullah? If so (or not), [...]

Can anyone verify this quote? And isn’t it FANTASTIC?

17 August 2008 @ 12:04 | Quote for Today | 13 Comments

‘Brigham Young guessed publicly that there was a lot more singing and dancing in heaven than in hell, and he saw no reason why the saints should imitate the hot place.’

What is wrong with food?

28 July 2008 @ 10:07 | Segullah Article Discussions | 29 Comments

It was so hot. The dashboard felt like I could fry an egg on it. So I stopped at 7-Eleven for a drink. When I saw the Slurpee machine…I. fell. in. love. Slurpees always remind me of home. My mom owned a bookstore in the small Utah town where I [...]

Yeah. About that.

24 July 2008 @ 10:30 | Slice of Life | 11 Comments

I’ve been having so much fun on Goodreads, gathering the books that I want to read, rating the books that I have read, that I’ve actually neglected to READ. And I don’t claim to be too intelligent but isn’t that kind of the point? It’s kind of like when I’m making lunch and [...]

Detailed Bloggersnacker Directions

8 July 2008 @ 17:27 | Announcements | 17 Comments

The nice lady at Murray Park gave me detailed directions and I thought I’d pass them along.  If you enter the park from 330 East Vine, pass the pool, and park in the next parking lot, there is a nice shady area near the playground for us to meet.
See you there tomorrow from 5-7 pm!

Segullah Bloggersnacker THIS Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Murray Park

7 July 2008 @ 18:23 | Announcements | 1 Comment

Please come if you can? Why?
1. Because I’m going to be there. Isn’t that reason enough?
2. Because those who choose not to come that don’t have a pre-existing condition (living out of state, pregnancy related madness, fear of playground equipment, etc…) will be charged bigger membership fees next year. You haven’t heard [...]
