Light Reading for Thanksgiving

Posted by Guest | November 26, 2008 | 11 Comments

From Foxy J Thanks again for Guesting with us!

Since it’s the day before Thanksgiving I feel pressure to write a holiday post. But I also feel overwhelmed by all the great posts that have already been written about gratitude. What else can I say? I like how Shelah blogged the other day about being grateful for gelato, so I thought it would be fun to write down some of the little things we’re grateful for. I’m pretty sure you’re thankful for your family, your home and the gospel.

What else is on your list?

This year I’m grateful for:

My dishwasher
Jelly Belly jellybeans
Kid pants with adjustable waists
Canned pumpkin

Sheez, Foxy — I thought you were going to give me something to read on my upcoming drive.

A couple of weeks ago when I did sharing time I had the kids color pictures of specific things they are grateful for. My list included almond M&Ms, hot chocolate, sunrises, and running(even though I can’t right now).

I too am thankful for Dora. Especially thankful for all of the episodes on my DVR.
My treadmill. (That’s what I do while Dora is babysitting).
For the fact that even though we had to endure a hurricane, we’re getting a new roof and a new fence out of the deal.
I’m also very thankful for your guest blogging, FoxyJ! I’ve enjoyed all of your posts very much!
