Happy Feet

Our new vacuum is the kind that has a dirt sensor: as long as the light is red, it’s stll sucking dirt out of your carpet. When the light turns green, you’re done with that spot, and you can move on.
My kids loved it. The first time I used it, they danced around the room, inspecting the sensor as I vacuumed.
I was appalled at how long it took the dirt sensor to move from red to green. “This is disgusting! We’ve been in living in filth!”
My son took up the chorus. “We’ve been living in dirt! We’ve been living in muck! We’ve been living in grossness!” He danced around some more.
“No wonder my feet taste so good!”

Michelle, how interesting that your Mom was the first person to notice the lights! I confess I never would have realized it if my husband hadn’t pointed them out.
Justine, yes. It is icky to think about him putting his feet in his mouth. Also icky is watching him do it in the company of other people when I can’t catch his eye and signal NO. Sigh. But that hasn’t happened for a while.
Annahannah, it’s a Kenmore Handi-Mate Junior. I love it.

This is why I am anti-carpet; it will never, ever, ever be truly clean.

Yuck! I hate to think what things are buried in my carpet. It’s brown, so I never know if it’s clean or totally disgusting.
