Thanks, fellas

Ben (12) and Sam (4) perch by my elbow, watching me slog through the email communique required to build the Queen’s new castle.
Ben: What are you doing?
Me: Working on this website redesign.
Ben: You have your own website?
Me: Yep.
Ben: Isn’t that a bit vain?
Me: Ben, lots of writers have websites. It’s part of the job.
Sam: You’re not a writer.
Ben: I still think it’s vain.
Me: *bites tongue*
Sam: Mom, do you want to be a writer when you grow up?
Me: Yep.
Sam: Too late.

That is hilarious. I love the frankness of children.

Nothing like kids to truly humble us. The other day my six year old walked in and told me I have a big mustache. Thanks sweetie!

I just read your book. I absolutely loved it. I have a 3 year old with DS, we had a prenatal diagnosis at 16 weeks. I don’t even know if you’ll get this comment, this is such an old post. Just wanted to tell you. Blessings to you and your family!
