I WRITE TO HONOR FEISTY MARRIAGES. “Honor” might be a bit strong, but let us get it straight from the beginning: a zesty relationship is the highlight of my life. I understand that not everyone feels the same, . . .

I Hate Being Out of the Loop

Mom and 5 year old ~S at Costco…

Mom: “Alrighty, I think we’re about done here. Anything else you think we might need, kiddo?”

~S: “Well, just a map, I guess.”

Mom: “A map of what? Why do we need a map?”

~S: “Aren’t we leaving soon? Don’t we need a map?”

Mom: “Umm, where are we going?”

~S: “I thought we were leaving for Africa tomorrow. You know, for the safari.”

I love it! I only wonder about the thought process. What thoughts brought him to the conclusion that you were going to Africa tomorrow? This is why I love being an Early Childhood Educator. I have so much to learn!

Doesn’t it just break your heart when you have to burst that little bubble?
That sounds like a great trip. Wish you were getting to go.

This story reminds me of yesterday, and an exchange we had in primary.

Music Leader- Aren’t you all grateful it’s fast Sunday?
My little CTR 7- Oh yes, I love fast Sundays….They are so much better than slow Sundays!

She had no idea why I was giggling so hard.
