Inspired (as usual) by DesignMom , we’re hosting an auction to benefit Stephanie and Christian Nielson who were seriously injured in a plane crash a couple of weeks ago. Maybe you know NieNie from her fantastic blog? Or Cjane (her sis) from her writing here at Blog Segullah? If so (or not), please bid on the items that we’ll have posted today. All proceeds will go to the Nie Nie recovery fund to help the family pay for medical bills and household expenses while both parents are recovering (it will take months). We’re one of over 90 blogs participating today. Thank you Internet. Thank you readers.
We’ll be bidding in the comments section. One person might leave a comment that says, “I’ll pay $10 for that soap.” And then the next comment might say, “Oh no you won’t, I’ll pay $679 for it!” Or, um, something like that. Feel free to be creative. Each bidding item will have its own post, so please scroll down and see what other items we’re selling today. After the bidding is over (Saturday evening at midnight), the highest bidder for each item will donate their funds directly to the Nie Nie recovery fund and we’ll get the auction item in the mail.
