Our February 2025 issue marks a year since Segullah started publishing again, and also our 20th anniversary as an organization. This year, we’ll continue to provide you with new writing and art quarterly, the exciting results of our current contest, as well as diving into offering online and in-person workshops, readings, and much more!
Segullah began as a group of friends in the midst of their busy lives, most with small children, some moving through the college experience, dealing with jobs and husbands and callings and all of the loads that Latter-day Saint women carry.
Their lives were full, yet they yearned for connection, a place to develop their talents for and love of the written word, and for the faith-filled literary equivalent of “a bit of earth,” as Mary asks for in the classic “The Secret Garden.”
Our work today consists of honoring those original desires, as well as continuing commitment to nurture and expand the vision of a growing place—one where women can express and multiply their artistic talents from the peculiar perspective of our religious persuasion.
