Words Fall In: An Interview with Lauri Schoenfeld

By Melonie Cannon

Not only is Lauri Schoenfeld a diverse writer, she is an advocate and healer for hurt souls. A survivor of abuse and child scoliosis, Lauri has overcome those challenges and through deep introspection guides others along the same healing path. She is the greater of Inner Enlightenment, a business built around connecting to your inner light and the child within, through stillness, creativity, play and self-expression. Lauri believes in connecting to the artist within yourself and embracing the fears so you can succeed. To help others see how to do this, she hosts the Inner Enlightenment Show weekly on facebook. There she interviews others who align with her goal of helping others. Lauri’s main focus is turning a negative experience into something positive, through writing, speaking, and teaching.

Lauri has a fiction novel coming out in the Spring that we discuss in the podcast. You get to hear her read a passage. I can’t wait for it to be published! Lauri believes, “Readers are waiting for your stories. They ask for different genres and love all types of characters. Readers want characters they can relate to, that reach them to the very core. A world that takes them somewhere else and emotion that brings feelings out of them, that they didn’t even know were there.”

You can find Lauri here and here and here.

She was a joy to interview and I liked her even more when I found out we both share a deep love for Nancy Drew!!!!
